A Plug For Franmars Soy Gel

Post by shavdog »

I'm using this product to strip a few yrs of sikkens from all of my teak on my 22...looks like it will take two quart bottles to complete the job...I'm impressed with the results and ease of use...and it doesnt harm your skin or burn...I paint it on thick, and cover with six foot lengths of saran wrap so it doesnt dry out...leave it on for 3.5 hrs and come back later....use a scraper to take off what I can and follow up with a green pad and water to scrub off any residue...it gets off about 95%+ and the balance sands off easy...highly recommend this and its easy work....vs sanding bottom paint...

Franmars is Great

I have an earlier post regarding Franmar Soy stripper. It worked great for me on some really stubborn non-skid with a ton of sand in it. I think the prior owners used exterior acrylic for paint.
