YSM8 Parts

Post by fsuhre »

Talked to my parts supplier yesterday and was informed that Yanmar is no longer supporting the YSM series and that replacement parts are getting sarce. Turns out the part I needed, a water drain cock, was available and is on its way. Any suggesting on keeping these older yanmars running?

Have you checked out www.marinedieseldirect.com. I have never purchased Yanmar Parts from them - but they seem to have a lot of Yanmar parts on their website. I have purchased several Universal Diesel Parts from them - and have always been very happy.

I second that on Marine Diesel Direct, also known as Torreson.....very responsive and have good stock. I recently bought a new head for my YSM8 from them.
