Boy, what a washout this weekend was!
For this "land sailor" all I could do was watch it just come down in buckets. In between the squalls, I snuck out to peruse the local boatyards in search of a CD-19 or 25 for sale. I regularly check the on-line sites, but often than not, it's worth it to keep an eye on things locally. Anyway, I saw a CD-19, with her mast stepped and managed to inspect the head of the mast.
What I saw surprised me. The mast of this TY-19 had a masthead setup, with forestay and backstay led to a "T" shaped fitting at the top of the mast. The head of the mast had 4 sheaves, (2 fore, 2 aft)plus an attached block on the front for what I guess is a spinnaker halyard. The mast also had a 360 degree anchor light and VHF fitting.
I thought CD-19's (weekender version) were all fractionally rigged from the factory. I believe the daysailor has a masthead set up like this one (a weekender).
My question therefore is, did Cape Dory ever make a Typhoon weekender with a masthead rig?
Thank you in advance for your kind input and comments.

Re: Typhoon Rig Question
not to my knowledge. sure sounds like a new, different mast, maybe designed after the daysailor specs and put on a weekender.
