Hi There,

I've just published my boat's web page, and I'm looking for feedback. Tell me what you think!

Fantastic Page John.

Funny stuff with the shark and some great photos around Misery Island. One thing though. A Marconi Rig? It's a sloop, no? Isn't a marconi like a Sunfish -- a triangular sail that runs ahead and astearn of the mast?

You're thinking of a lateen rig. A marconi is what most of us have (triangular main with luff on the mast). Also called Bermudian rig.

This is the only source of good CD25 photos on the web.

Eric,
I thought you would get a giggle out of that! A lateen rig is what appears on a sunfish. Our boats are Marconi rigged masthead sloops. The Typhoon is a fractional rig, as the head stay doesn't go to the top of the mast.
Keep in touch!

John,

Is it okay if I add your website as a link from the CCDOA's website? I'd add it to the <a href="http://www.toolworks.com/capedory/ccdol ... s">"Useful Cape Dory Web sites"</a> section on the <a href="http://www.toolworks.com/capedory/ccdolook.htm">"Where to Look"</a> page.

Catherine,

That sounds great! I'm not sure how "useful" my site is, but it's good for a giggle. I plan on adding detailed tech info on the modifications I made to my boat with good pictures when I can. My site is best viewed with Internet Explorer, as sound and marquees then work. I did make a link to the CCDOA site's Tech Specs sheet for CD-25. Let me know if you want that link removed. It is on my home page (index.html) as "another site," as I was unsure if naming would be objectionable.
Best Wishes,
