P and E numbers for Cape Dory Typhoon Weekender?

Post by ann klefstad »

I am having trouble finding the "official" P and E measurements for a Cape Dory Typhoon Weekender mainsail. Do any of you have them?

I measured the main I have--likely an original sail, and so fairly stretched out, and got 20' 6" and 8' 1"

thanks for help--

You might look here:

My owners manual shows P=20' and E=8' for the daysailer

and P=22' and E=8'-9" for the weekender.

Hi Ann,

The 'official' numbers for KnoTy Boy (Weekender) are, P=22' 0" and E=8' 9'. However, it sounds as if you may have the main sail from a CD Typhoon DAYSAILOR. You may have the mast and rig from a DAYSAILOR on your WEEKENDER? Do you know? The two boats are slightly different.

Use a tape measure and get the actual numbers for your boat.
