CD280 Sport vs. 28Cruiser/FB

Post by Bob S »

The drawings suggest that the forward cabin of the Sport is a little smaller than the cruiser/fb. Am I correct? If so, is there a layout difference or a downsizing of the components (galley/head/berth)? Am considering a deisel-powered 280 (if I can find one), but at 6'2"and 250 I seem to be taking up more space than i used to.

I can't speak accurately to the Sport vs FB differences, but I own a CD 28 cruiser (non-FB) -- hull #190. I'm 6'3", now 230 but once was a good bit heavier, I have to confess.Very happy with my CD size-wise. I think once every two years I do manage to hit just the right combination of stride, ocean action, or whatever to hit my head on one of the cabin lights, but that literally is only once a couple of years.

good luck.
