Motoring and Heeling

Is the Perkins 4 108 getting sufficient lubrication while heeling.
What are the limits, if any? I worry about the bearings, etc. Jimmy

Rule of thumb I've heard is no more than 20 degrees.

Not sure where I saw this. It might have been in my Cape Dory owner's manual.

Perkins Heeling

Thanks Stan. The Perkins manual, p. 64 lists 25 degrees port and starboard. The manual states these angles of heel are ok "providing the boat is righted occasionally so that the valve gear can be lubricated." I was concerned as we beat down the Hawk Channel to Marathon Tuesday. Jimmy
