What I wear...

Post by dugout »

Patagonia unmentionables, Fleece sweat suit, then;
If it's just cold, Carhart brown coveralls.
Wet and cold, Gunden's.
Servus Rubber insulated knee boots, ( they are like fireman's boots)

Not exactly yachty but functional, warm, dry, and reasonably priced. :wink:

Sweaty feet

Post by kerlandsen »

My best trick for the warm, damp, thus cold, sweaty feet.

Use a hard brush and scrub your feet when you are in the shower. Do this in advance of your outing. Wait until later in the shower when the skin is soft and goto town. Feels great.
Removes the old dry skin and allows your capillaries closer to the surface.

baby powder is nice too, as well as right gaurd.

For spring and fall racing I wear an "aqua Sock", basically a waterproof sock, with a synthetic sock underneath and sneakers over that. Very functional, lightweight and easy to move.
