We have a 1976 CD 25 . Our bow pulpit is loose and my husband and I want to know how to tighten and reseal it. We don't know how to get to it with the cabin liner there. Any tips or techniques, before we make a mistake would be appreciated.

Re: Loose bow pulpit
I took off the bow pulpit on my 25 last year to mount a new running light on the pulpit. I was able to access the nuts by removing the round teak piece at the front of the V-berth. You then reach an arm in throught the hole and hold the nuts. It's a bit akward but you can get a wrench on the nuts while someone turns the bolt from on deck. Be careful not to drop the nuts on the way out. If you tape off the area around each base before taking the pulpit off it will make clean up easier after you recaulk. Just tape slightly outside of the base so you get a nice filet of caulk.
