This bulletin board, hosted by the CDSOA, Inc., is the on-line meeting place for all Cape Dory owners and groups. We welcome everyone's questions, answers and comments about Cape Dory sailboat
Just wanted to say Hello.
Hello!
Well after lots of looking. And a good survey.
I am the new owner or of a 1979 CD 25. Located in Jax. Fla. on the mighty Saint Johns River.
My self and the wife are new to sailing so I (we) will have many questions. A lot of them will be redundant. For that I apologize in advance. I do use the sites search feature a lot. Great tool!
I have already spoke to a few here via. PM’s and thanks for all the advise and input.
Welcome. You've got a great boat and this board is the greatest source of information about anything to do with Cape Dorys and sailing in general.
Do not worry about asking questions that you may feel are too simple because you are new to sailing. We all were new to sailing once and we all asked the very same questions. Having a source like this for the answers will make your trip up the sailing learning curve that much quicker and surer!!
"I desire no more delight, than to be under sail and gone tonight."

Congrats on the "new" boat!! I just finished my first season on my 25 and can tell you it is a fantastic boat! It handles easily under sail is fairly easy get used to, and not very intimidating for the beginner. This board is a great resource and members very friendly.
Congrats again, Brian! Brigitta is a great Cape Dory. I'll try to get the shirts in the mail before we leave (Friday) to get KAYLA back to Niceville, but if not, then next week...
Have FUN & Enjoy that St Johns!

No shirt + No shorts = No problem!
Hey troy is the Central Gulf Coast Fleet located on the Gulf?
Why is there not a Fla east coast/ S.J. River central fleet?
Fla is not a wide state, but it makes up in length.
