As we approach the beginning of our Fall Ty Racing Series on Carters Creek, Va., our fleet of local individually owned Typhoons has grown to 17!! We begin with a pot-luck dinner meeting at the Rappahannock River Yacht Club Sept. 10. The first race date is Sept. 17 followed by the 24th, Oct. 1st and the 8th. The awards dinner is scheduled for Oct. 15th. Racing begins at 5:15 pm.
The annual Hospice Turkey Shoot Regatta will be held on the Rappahannock River Oct. 11 and 12 where we will have our own fleet. Last year there were 130 sailboats, designs over 25 years, racing in a number of fleets based on their handicaps.
Any Ty sailor close enough to the Rappahannock River, Va. to get here by water or trailer is welcome to join us in the racing and fun.
