Has anyone installed an ST2000+ Tiller pilot on a CD27? I am going to take one with me to pick up my new(old) boat and need to know which adapters to take along.

Yes, I installed an ST2000+ on my 27. There was a previous Autohelm 800 installation (the old unit was shot). Therefore all I had to do was remove the old electric plug, and wire in and affix the new plug. Otherwise it was a direct replacement. If your "new old" 27 has never had an autohelm installed, the installation will take a while. You need to install the brass receptacle for the unit in the starboard cockpit locker, and a pin in the tiller, all measured fairly closely. Then you have to run power to the unit. Be sure to read the instructions about calibrating the unit by motoring in circles for a while (while spectators on shore wonder!!!). Not sure what you mean about "which adapters to take along."

I put an ST2000+ Tiller pilot on my CD27 while it was on its mooring last summer. I was concerned that I would not have the right pieces before beginning the job, but found that the setup that came with the package was all I needed. No extenders, etc. I just rowed out to the boat with all the tools you might expect: a rechargeable drill & bits, electrical crimps & strippers, a large square ( for hole positioning & alignment ) and some 2 part epoxy. I was done by early afternoon.
