on measuring my mainsail for a new one I discover that the length at the luff is 20 feet not 22. Has anyone ever heard of this before?Does this mean I have the mast of a daysailor?

BTW, if anyone is interested, I know of 2 Ty daysailers for sale. They are in rough condition, they are being used at a sailing school.

The mast on the Ty daysailer is stepped to the cockpit sole, so the mast should be longer and the luff should also be longer.on measuring my mainsail for a new one I discover that the length at the luff is 20 feet not 22. If you want me to, I can check out the condition of each boat and
see what price they are asking for them? These boats have been used in a sailing school/rental program, and maintance has been poor, they are in rough condition. Send me an e-mail with questions.

Goto the resources section and download a copy of the Owners Manual - it has loads of info but on page 68 the following info (you should be able to follow the columns).Dan Campbell wrote: on measuring my mainsail for a new one I discover that the length at the luff is 20 feet not 22. I purchased a Daysailer 2 years ago from a sailing school in Boston and have cosmetically restored her. Having also owned a weekender for 5 years I would say that the Daysailer (for day sailing) is a fantastic little boat.
