Two of the liquid crystal bars on the face of our very old Datamarine depthfinder have stopped lighting (actually, that was a year ago), and we've always gotten a lot of "MSD" (missed bottom) messages when the bottom is soft. So we've begun to consider getting a replacement. But the present instrument fits neatly into the round housing on our steering pedestal. Is there a modern instrument of the same shape and dimensions?
Thanks!

And if you don't want to have your Datamarine instruments repaired (we had our depth sounder display repaired last year by DMI), you can buy new Datamarine instruments.
SEA-DATAMARINE: http://www.datamarineinternational.com/
(for new Datamarine instruments)
DMI: http://www.dmimarine.com/
(for repair of Datamarine instruments and/or for new Phoenix Systems instruments)
Most of the new stuff from Datamarine and DMI will work with the old Datamarine transducers. So if you want new, you should only need the instrument if your transducer is still working.
