Server Busy?

Server Busy?
I have been noticing a lot of times when I can't connect to the board - are there issues with the availability of the server?
Seems chronic
That makes about the fourth or fifth time today - anything we can do to help?

Ironic
Hi Cathy
I've noticed previous comments from others. Ironically enough, I couldn't connect for about 20 minutes this morning when I saw the notification of your reply.
I have been logging on daily lately, and it seems to happen almost every day.

8:22 am
Duncan,
I flicked my laptop on and connected to the internet and this web site at 8:22 a.m. It couldn't have connected faster. I didn't have any problems. How about you this morning? At about what time each morning are you experiencing problems?

I had no issue this AM nor have I experienced the error message in the past.
I access the CD discussion board via a shortcut to "http://www.capedory.org/board/" using the Firefox browser.

It's the server
When a server is "unavailable to make a connection" (which is what this problem is), I believe this is a question of how much demand there is on that server and how that demand is managed.
As I've mentioned privately, internet hosts routinely track traffic and uptime/outage information. I believe they are usually cooperative in providing this information to their customers.

Most recent outage
Hi Cathy
I just re-connected, because it was out again. In this case, the outage was 0948 - 1017 EDT.
This is unrelated to my connection: every other server I was connected to was responding just fine.
Thanks for keeping an eye on this. It's discouraging to be in the middle of something, and have to wait half an hour to re-connect!
Cheers,
Duncan

Has anyone else experienced problems accessing our message board, or any of our other web pages, during the last few days between 8 and 11 a.m. EDT?
