Cape May
I went through last year and the shoaling really applied to the ferry area. There was plenty of water and they were to dredge this year . According to the LNM, they should have finished by now.
Fairwinds and following seas,

Cape May Canal
We went thru it in the fall of '06 on my friends Erickson with 6' draft and didn't encounter any problems.....or come even close as I recall.

Hadley Harbor
I didn't find mention of Hadley Harbor on the Buzzards Bay side of Woods Hole. When I was last there I was able to pick up a mooring in the deeper recesses and later saw one then the other of the Coast Guard moorings available.
I'd also like to reinforce the mentions of Lake Tashmoo. Not as bad getting in as it looks. I found it well marked through the sandy section.

Re: Hadley Harbor
When we kept our boat in Mattapoisett Hadley was a favorite stop. Moorings fill up quickly even mid week during the busy season. We always ended up anchored outside.
Tarpaulin cove on Naushon Island is a nice stop if the weather is right. There are some funky currents the further out you are so try to anchor in as far as you can. If you end up further out allow lots of swinging room! Since it has a nice beach it is a popular day stop. Many boats leave in the evening.

One place I was hoping to explore
but didn't have the time for on my trip to the area, was the little tiny cove in the northeast corner of Cape Poge Bay (Edgartown Hbr).
It looks like it might be really tight getting in but it would be fun to see if a fellow could!
Around the corner from Cuttyhunk:
