Main sail reefing on an old 75 CD28
Hello.... Does anyone have a fast and easy way to reef the main sail on a CD28. It's an older boat...1975....and I can't figure how your suppose to reef that sail when the wind is blowing 30 k and your already underway. Any plain language description and pictures would be appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Here's a link showing how to rig the boom for jiffy reefing.

If you backwind the jib/genoa and heave to, the boat will settle down and you can reef the main in the lee of the backed jib. Jiffy reefing will make it quicker but you can reef just as well (just not as efficiently with a couple of pieces of spare line.Ben schifano wrote:Hello....
