Thanks to Bly and Kevin Hartley for shepherding me through installation of a Rule 750 Mate pump. They had wonderful suggestions for installing the 3-way switch and outlet hose. I ended up buying $6 of 3/4 inch flexible white ribbed hose, snaked it up through the hole in the board above the engine compartment, and let the end hang about 6" over the sink. When the bilge is filled with a hose, the pump turns on, drains into the sink and then out the sink drain. Slick for a temporary fix. Secured the pump with an elastic cord to the sausage that sits in the bilge to suck up oil. Works fine. Next year I'll probably put in a stern outlet well above the water line with a loop.
Thanks again to Bly and Kevin.

Bilge water in the sink
It sounds like a good temporary solution. The parts that would make it temporary for me would be that I would have to leave the sink drain seacock open all the time. More troubling would be the bilge water entering the sink where I dealt with things I planned to eat. I recently noticed a reference to plumbing your bilge pump into the cockpit drain line. Those seacocks are left open anyway and no nasty bilge water in the sink. It would involve only a tee and reducer to pick up your bilge pump hose. Just another possibility, Steve.
