The shower drains very slowly. When inserting an auger into the head drain somewhere shortly before the bilge it hits something solid, like fiberglas. From the bilge toward the head the same thing happens. Has anyone had the same problem and found a solution?

CD25D Shower Question

Shower in a 25D ?
How is your shower set up? In the CD27, there is no pressure water, hence no shower, and the bilge forward of the head pitches forward, not aft. Please describe your freshwater setup. The shower drains very slowly.

Re: CD25D Shower Question
Ray,
I seem to recall a hose running from the shower drain to the bilge. It is possoble the hose has a bend or kink in it. Over the next couple of days I'll check my boat and see if my memory serves me well. You might try running a smaller diameter probe such as a stiff wire through the hose to see if it will pass the entire length of the drain. Maybe the small opening can then be enlarged.

Re: CD25D Shower Question
I think mine drains directly into the bilge. The sink has a hose which the previous owner tee'd with the galley sink drain. The head sink water frequently backs up into the galley sink before it goes overboard, but I think that's better than having soapy water in the bilge where originally the head sink drained.
