It's me again. When I get some of these problems solved, maybe I'll be able to help someone else with similar problems. We've recently acquired a CD36 with an Anchorman Power 700 Windlass built by Simpson Lawrence, it is in need of maintenance. Has anyone had experience dismantling it? It looks as though I should be able to unscrew the clutch nut and then the drums could be removed and lubricated, but it appears to be stuck. Is this is the proper procedure or will I break something? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. We enjoy the CD Info Exchange, it has been of tremendous value in helping us as we prepare our CD36 for sailing and cruising.
