Relacement Curtains for CD 28 powerboat

Post by John Fife »

Does anyone know the original supplier? Name address etc.
If ready made replacements no longer availabe does anyone know who
makes the small plastic fastners that are sewn onto the curtains.

I have heard third hand that "East Coast Embroidery" may have been
a supplier but I have no address if this is the case.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

John:

Try Fawcett Boat Supplies in Annapolis,MD. Their toll free number is 800-456-9151. Ask for Recmar Eye Slide No. 3051. Page 442 of their catalog.
$0.12 each. I don't know if these are original equipment, but they fit the track that came on my 1988 Open Fisherman. My wife is going to try and make new curtains over the winter. Anyone have any suggestions about how to deal with the slanted track so that the curtains hang straight?

I did a Web search and found the following but I have not had the opportunity to "check it out" if they are the right folks. I believe they probably are because they are so close to the location of the former Cape Dory factory in E. Taunton, Ma.

East Coast Embroidery
