Maine Cruise (Part 1) VIDEO
Here's a video shot by my husband, Bruce Halley. Both the video and the stills were shot during the CDSOA Maine Cruise which took place during the week of August 13-17.
This is Part 1, which takes place Aug. 13-15.
We start off on Monday in Maple Juice Cove on the St. George River. You'll see some video of the group aboard Orrin Boynton's trawler, M/Y Queen Bee, after a brief rain shower.
Tuesday starts off bright and sunny. You'll see video of Allen Evans' Bristol 45.5 Whisper heading down the St. George; Stan Wheatley's CD28 Nonsly and Dean Abramson's CD31 Loda May beating up the Johns River; Carl Thunberg's "new" CD30 Pistachio and the fleet of Cape Dorys moored in Poorhouse Cove; and still photographs snapped during the barbecue as well as some of Carl and his daughters which were snapped early on Wednesday morning.

Bruce wanted me to add a caption for one the photos of Carl and his girls (near the end of the video for Part 1) which meant revising the video project and uploading the newly created video clip to YouTube. So the link in this message to Part 1 is new since I first uploaded the video several days ago. I also added a couple segments showing Loda May undersail on the Johns River. So other than the additional footage of Loda May and the caption on the last photo, it's essentially the same as before.

These video clips and stills were shot by Bruce Halley on August 15th during the CDSOA Northeast Fleet's 2007 Maine Cruise.
This is Part 2 and we start this segment heading northward on the Damariscotta River. These video clips feature the Cape Dorys Kyky, Mahalo, Whisper, Carol Ann, Nonsly and Pistachio.
So, it's Wednesday and we're sailing up the Damariscotta to our destination of Pleasant Cove on the river's western shore where we meet up for a potluck dinner aboard the rafted boats of Realization, Whisper and Evening Light.
The rest of the cruise is documented in separate videos. The link to Part 1 is located one postings up from this one if you haven't seen it yet.
