We are considering purchasing or making a riding sail for our CD25. Would appreciate any advice.

Jim,

We have used a riding sail on our CD30 DeLaMer for about 6-7 years now, and would not anchor without it. It works!! THe higher the wind, the better it works too. We use it tied to either the starboard or port stanchion base or amidship, to the bottom of the mast. The reason for going to either stanchion is to cause the boat to swing slightly in one direction predominantly..can be handy if the wind and waves are from slightly different directions. We find that "hunting" at anchor is cut down to a 5 deg. oscillation..from about 45 deg.

Write if there are further Q's.

Cheers!

Larry, would appreciate a few lines about the size and configuration. Sounds like you have it hanked to the backstay?

Thanks, Bill
