After scanning the owner's manual and the specs posted on this board, I find myself once again seeking help from the exclusive panel of experts on this board:
What is the capacity of the 25D's freshwater tank?
I'm curious, because I want to add a freshener/cleaner to my tank, and the dose depends on how much water the system holds. I usually just fill up at a marina, filling slowly until the deck filler starts to overflow.
Thanks,

Hello Joe
Well I juse 6 gallon jugs to fill my tank (to avoid hose taste). My tank will not quite hold 3 6 gallon jugs. So I would guess about 15-16 gallons.

Deja Vu, or Doh?
Bill,
Thanks for the link.
I see that I was one of those who answered -- but now that I'm older, I seem to have forgotten that exchange.
Doh!

25D Tank Capacities
Ahoy 25D Sailors!
This subject has been discussed at length in the archives. A brief recap yields the following results:
Diesel Tank: 12 Gallons nominal (11.5 actual)
Holding Tank: 13 Gallons nominal (not tested, lasts 2-3 weekends)
Water Tank: 20 Gallons nominal (tested)
I say nominal, because little nuances could change the actual capacity. For instance, the holding tank is typically a glassed in portion of the bilge, under the engine, accessed by a round inspection plate. Fiberglass layup variances could change the capacity somewhat. The water tank was historically located under the aft berth. The actual size of tank installed could vary. Finally, the diesel tank, a rectangular aluminum container, could have been made by different manufacturers. Certain 25Ds may have been modified for long distance cruising, or had other tanks installed. The above capacities are what was specified in my Cape Dory manual and what I found in the boat, unmodified from the factory.

OOps!
I should read my own posts. The nominal capacity of the holding tank should be 11 gallons, not 13. Sorry!
