Has any Intrepid owner sailed the Florida panhandle--namely, the Pensacola/Perdido Key area? If so, what kind of depth should we expect. Thanks for any tips.

We have a CD30 and she draws 4'2" and we sail West Florida, not Pensacola. Our draft can be problematic very quickly if we are not paying attention. All of Florida's west coast and Panhandle are known for shoal depths and shifting shoals. It is very shallow along the Gulf Coast and you have to study charts carefully. It is easy to run aground especially in the intracoastal waterway. Boats are always running aground. It is far better to be on the outside. The bottom is usually sand, mud, or broken shell. Pay close attention to all "notices to mariners" updates posted in several publications. Tropical storms and hurricanes cause big changes to prevailing depths, post storm.
