Head room

Fred,

I'm close to 6 feet and there is plenty of head room.

(When I'm sitting down!)

I'm guessing its about 4 feet 10 inches at the conpanionway.

I don't see it listed in the owner's manual so if no one else knows I check the next time I'm aboard.

Fred,

My CD22 measures 4 feet 9 1/2 inches from the cabin sole to the head liner.

Thanks for your reply and taking the time to measure your boat.

I guess the best thing to do is find a 22 or 22D and see if it fits.

Thanks again.

Fred,
No problem at all. My last job of the day took me with in about 3 minutes of the boat.

If your planning to do alot of changing cloths or cooking in the cabin you will really really appreciate standing head room.

On the other hand it was not important to me. I use the boat to day sail and occasionally overnighters with little cooking aboard and never in the cabin.

Also consider this. The CD22 is small. When you go below you're not walking anywhere! Everything except the V berth is right there at the bottom of the companionway ladder! If its a small boat you want the CD22 is great.

Good Luck,
Gary
