I recently purchased a CD28 in really great condition but missing a mast. (Good price too) I acquired a mast from a C&C 27 and I am trying to retrofit it to my boat.
My question is, can anyone tell me the configuration of the top of the Capy Dory mast? I am specifically interested in the distance from the top of the mast to the hole on the port and starbord side to which the shrouds attach. I would also like any info on the where the fore and aft stays attach to the top of the mast.
I have the rigging from the Cape Dory and the length of the mast and I just need to know how much I need to modify the top.
Thanks
Roch

Do you have the fitting?
I've been waiting for someone more skilled in posting photos than I to reply. Since no one has, I'll try to help. Do you have the masthead fitting that sits on top of the aluminum tube from the CD or is it from the C&C?
I can send you an e-mail with some photos of mine and from those you can identify measurements that you'd like me to take. The mast is currently hanging on the wall in the shed (in the backyard) waiting for the spring projects to get done.
Let me know if I can help.
