"classic girl" CD25 hull 410...nicest one around

I am in the process of making a deal on a Catalina 30 Mk3. The family has outgrown classic girl. I absolutely love and respect the Cape Dory's....and it is bitter-sweet moving on to a different boat. The boat will be listed w/ pics at RCR Yachts in Buffalo N.Y. She will be listed at $6900. Regards. ...

surveyor referral requested in Michigan

I may be looking at a boat in Muskegon Michigan this spring.

Does anyone know of an honest respectable surveyor who will look out for my best interest?

(hull and diesel)

Thanks.

Scrub her clean the minute you pull it out or that crap turns into concrete.

Clean it quickly and the slime wipes off w/o effort.

That is good to know. I considered adding an alternator to the motor but probably won't. At this point unfortunately, I may be selling this beloved boat. My 2 young kids and wife are making things a bit cramped. They love the boat but its too small for a young sailing family. I plan to move to a 30-...

Exactly. I generally bungee the taller to center while raising the sails while day sailing. The TP also works fine when hoisting (better actually.) CRUISING is where the TP changes everything. I sailed a beat from Port Colborn Canada to Dunkirk NY last week. The TP held my course for 3+ hrs into a 1...

I just returned from a 9 day tour of (parts of) Lake Erie. The ST2000 worked wonderfully. I singlehanded the trip and in the end used it at least 90% of the time (under both sail/power or combination of both.) I used it for 35+ mile legs...ie: all damn day. I returned to a port, powered the battery ...

Thanks for the insight.

I will install her (just aft of locker) hopefully this weekend.

I am then off for my annual September Lake Erie cruise.

The directions instruct you to place it 90 degrees from the tiller...however at precise lengths... pin on tiller and unit on cockpit seat. It futher instructs you to utilize brackets customized to each boat in order to match their measurements. I would like to avoid the use of brackets by installing...

installing ST 2000 tiller pilot (CD25)

I bought this thing almost a year ago and am now just installing it. I have seen pictures of ST tiller pilots installed on CD25's and it appears that the placement of them on the cockpit seat do not match what the directions dictate. I would like to place it just aft of the starboard cockpit locker ...

CD 30 vs CD 30b

My wife has convinced me that we and the 2 kids have outgrown our beloved CD25 "classic girl."

I am beginning to look around and seem to like the CD 30's.

How does the 30 differ from the 30b?

Thanks.

That works.

Do you find that the LED's are satisfactory?

LED replacement bulbs

I am interested in replacing my traditional bulbs/running/cabin lights w/ LED's.

Advice?

Thanks.
