Re: Whisker pole for CD25 - size?
Thanks Gents - It sounds like 6' should work and will consider a 6'-12'; maybe I can luck up and find a used one.

Whisker pole for CD25 - size?
I have a 1975 CD25 that is rigged for a whisker pole but it was included with the boat when I bought it. Does anyone know the correct size pole or can recommend a good solution for purchase? I read several posts on the board from '06 but am looking to glean the current expertise on this forum.

Re: Raising/Lowering the mast using an A-Frame
I wish I would have seen your post before lowering the mast on my CD25. I think I will have to try this simple A-frame when raising. Question: were you able to keep all the shrouds connected when lowering? I'm thinking it's the shrouds that kept the mast from coming down either port or starboard. Al...

Re: New trailer cost for CD 25D, 26, 27
Dane, I bought a special float-off model trailer (loaded) for my CD25 from Triad last year. Tounge extension, disc brakes, leveling jacks and it cost me $6500. Triad has less expensive models available, but I opted for the extras to allow me to launch from just about any boat launch access. Mike at ...

WTB - CD25 Electrical panel cover
Looking for an original CD electrical panel cover (13 1/2" x 6 3/4") for my CD25. Another model will do if the dimensions are similar. The previous owner installed an off the shelf electrical switch panel and cut a hole in the original cover. I could fabricate a new one from stock aluminum...

Re: For Sale - CD 25D items for sale!
Interested in the folding swim ladder but unfamiliar with how it attaches to the boat. Can you provide additional detail; their website was little help. Can you ship to NC?

Re: CD 25 wanted, with trailer.
There are a few CD25 boats listed on this discussion board. The trailer can be made to order from Triad Trailers in Raleigh, NC. He can arrange delivery if you are interested. I have a CD25 and bought an extended float-off model trailer last year which I am fully pleased with. The trailer was $6500 ...

Re: Cracked bowsprit & question on wood adhesives
In combination with the other great suggestions, to add integrity to the edge piece that is split I suggest side drilling and inserting fluted dowel pins in combination with the glue, epoxy and stainless-steel screws. If you can't find long enough fluted dowels, dowel stock from your local hardware ...

Re: Fitting mast step plate
Thanks to the CDSOA community for all your posts and experiences. After a lot of consideration and measuring and re-measuring, I made the cut and installed the new step. I did take the advice given and measured the total length of the mast with the old plate installed and measured the mast with the ...

Re: Fitting mast step plate
Thanks to everyone for the informative comments and suggestions. I was able to determine where to cut by taking a measurement of the overall length of the mast with the old step plate attached and a measurement of the new step plate and subtracting the difference. I took 3 separate measurements usin...

Re: Fitting mast step plate
Thanks for the insight. The overall height difference is a concern, but I believe the rigging can be adjusted without any major upfit changes. The old hinged step assembly is pictured. I tried for months to locate the manufacturer of the original, but came up empty handed. In an earlier post, there ...

Good gelcoat repair in Raleigh/Apex, NC area; CD25
Can anyone recommend a good gelcoat and fiberglass repair shop near the Raleigh/Apex area? I would also be open to trailering the boat to the NC coast to have the work done if I can get a good recommendation. The key is not to spend a ton of money as I'm still looking forward to sailing the boat and...
