Companionway drop boards seaworthiness

I’ve read somewhere that the design of the CD25 companionway drop board’s is such that they could fall out easily, compromising the boats seaworthiness offshore. I realize the boat has other flaws as well for that particular task, but how would one go about correcting this flaw.

Re: How much bottom paint CD 25

Would that be one coat? I see a lot of manufacturers say you should get at least two coats

Painting inside

I have some water damage inside my boat, some of the veneer is coming off. I was thinking of filling in where the veneer is missing and then painting some of the inside a lighter color. I'm not sure what product to use to fill in where the thin veneer is missing. Any ideas?

Re: CD 25 smooth running engine options

Thanks for the replies guys. I do require all the power i can get. I live on Deer Island New Brunswick Canada, we have a tremendous amount of tide in among the islands. I think a multi cylinder would be smother, but there is always the space consideration.

CD 25 smooth running engine options

I have a 6 hp Tohatsu, I find pretty loud and rough. Will the 8hp Tohatsu fit? Even an older model might be an option.
