Would that be one coat? I see a lot of manufacturers say you should get at least two coats

Re: How much bottom paint CD 25
bout 2/3 of a gallon put one coat on the bottom of my 28. Half a gallon or a bit less for one coat on a 25 sounds about right.

I agree with Neil.
My 27 takes 1 gallon and a quart to go around two times - Interlux Micron CSC. I just cant stretch a gallon. So I'd agree a 25 can be done with 1/2 gallon. Two coats and you'll get two seasons, maybe three depending on paint. That's what I do.
I use a little thinner mostly because the paint thickens so quickly in a tray. Interlux 216.
Did the full job this year 2 coats. Next year i'll just need to touch up about a foot at the waterline and a few higher wear spots along the keel and aperture ... maybe 1/2 gallon and not much sanding. Then probably full job the following year including full sanding. That's the way it's been since I bought the boat. Proper sanding is key to limiting buildup over time and having a fast bottom.
I like the foam micro rollers. Easier to get a smooth result.
Last two summers I've been able to anchor off Barrington Beach on Narragansett and dive/walk around the boat and get most of the slime off with a sponge and a deck brush. During dog days mid summer I'll just start checking the forecast for a really light hot southerly day with incoming tide ... and then I can scope myself into water shallow enough to walk - at least at first. It's a hoot. My buddy Patric helped me last year. We used a lot of beer too.
Barrington beach has a very very gradual and even sandy bottom and it's a mile long east/west facing south. The only tricky part is for years people threw away tires here - and there must be several hundred old tires cast about ... !
