Re: Davits on a CD36
PXL_20210812_214922729.jpg I installed Martek 370 Davits this summer to handle our West Marine inflatable. Works pretty good, but the stern is very narrow on the C36 so a bit of a compromise. I had to shorten the stabilizing strut 6 inches as the spacing is less than the provisions of the standard ...

WTB - Traveler Car for CD36. Nicro-Fico 1169
The bearings on our main traveler car are worn out. Not ready to replace the entire system if someone that has upgraded to a new system and has a unit that is still serviceable i would be interested in purchasing.

Re: Any Ham operators?
My CD36 came with an old M700 and an ICOM antenna tuner on the back-stay. I did go after my general ticket after investigating the options for communications (Marine SSB vs Amateur). I finally decided I will switch over to amateur radio on board. I have an ICOM-7300 that will be mounted in replaceme...

Re: Spartan Frozen Seacocks
I had four frozen seacocks when I purchased Pelican, CD36. Two cockpit drains, tank pump out and engine intake. Used the spray, tapping with no success. I went to automotive store and found a small gear puller, I think it was for brake pulling. Modified the puller to fit the seacock, continued PB Bl...

Re: CDSOA Members, Package in the mail
My card arrived a week ago. Really enjoying the "gift". Best ever item I have received for this type of situation. Many thanks for such a great idea.

Re: Heater
Definitely let us all know how it performs once you get to test it under cold weather conditions. I have considered one as well for just being able to get the warmth up and not consume fuel. Not practical for long term warmth as the engine needs to run, but bet it will be pretty cozy once it heats u...

Re: Prop Shaft Rebuild CD 36
Skylark, I assume the 12 inch pitch is for forward. Do you know the setting for the reverse as well? How is engine performance in terms of WOT rpm, fuel efficiency differences, and reverse performance? I guess the sailing goes without question, less drag... Any regrets or things you would change? Yo...

Re: Prop Shaft Rebuild CD 36
Skylark, Glad to see the featherstream prop fit well. Looks like you had to shorten the propeller shaft an inch or so? What size is the propeller? I am considering installing a featherstream myself, and would like to know how your performance is and what size they recommended. Looks like it is an &q...

Re: Teak finish preferences and why?
I am giving the new Petit product "Sea Gold" a try. Did the bowsprit at haul out this fall. It was in pretty rough shape. The dark staining is from the mastic that was under the anchor rollers pretty much on bare teak. Toe rails and cockpit to follow in the spring. Attracted to it as quick...
