Re: REMINDER NE FLEET CABIN FEVER LUNCH TOMORROW
Let me add my thanks to the Lascelles and all other attendees for the most enjoyable lunch and company and lecture. It's a lot of fun to talk boats. I especially like Fred's idea about "coordinating with" . . (as opposed to "merging") with sailors who choose to sail some other Go...

Are you committed to an inflatable? A Fatty Knees tows well and rows well, and with a small Torqueedo you can mouont on the back it will get you nicely in and around most harbors. John's right about first deciding what you want to do with it.

Re: fresh water tanks
Stephen . . . the water tank under the quarter berth of my CD 36 was made by Anonda Plastics of Pacoina, CA. I just looked them up . . and they apparently have gone out of business. I took that water tank out last winter, to create more storage space. You're welcome to it if you think you want to tr...

Wanting to buy a Yankee for a CD 36
Does anyone have a yankee for sail with a lufftape that will fit a Harken Furler Mark IV, Unit 1. (That's a pretty standard unit).
Used is fine. This is for cruising.

Re: oil lamps in Cape Dory 25
Thanks for the post, Paula. I'll buy them from you. I agree with the others. I used one almost every evening in my CD31, and now have a CD36 without any. PM me if you want to talk pricing and timing.

Re: CD 36 in-mast or in-boom furling
To all, Many thanks for the thoughtfull comments, suggestions and experiences regarding in-mast and in-boom furling systems. Jean, thank you for the Practical Sailor article. I hadn't seen that. And Dennis, for succintly outlining the pros and cons. Craig's detailed description of the spectrum of sa...

CD 36 in-mast or in-boom furling
I'm thinking of converting the main on my CD36 to roller furling. Has anyone else done so? ...either to in-mast or to in-boom furling? What has your experience been? I saw four 36's this summer which have had these conversion...two at the mast and two at the boom (Leisure Furl). The one skipper I ma...

Re: Rebalancing the keel of a CD31
Wow...you guys are right on top of this! First...Gordon brought up the point...not me. Next...I've spoken with him before about other topics...and I think he's honest and sincere. I wouldn't at all compare him to a rip-off artist in a car repair shop. And...I will call Dave again. He's retired now, ...

Rebalancing the keel of a CD31
This weekend I spoke to Gordon Reed (of Robinhood-Derektor) at the Maine Boatbuilders Show. He asked me if I had re-balanced my keel yet. Apparently this involves putting 600 lbs of lead shot down in the (cleaned out) bilge and pouring in enough epoxy to cover it all and make a new "bottom"...
