Not an expert by any measure, however one of the spots I have found a great deal of good general info on both anchor spots and mooring is activecaptain.com . I have also found a ton of good info on the net by simple searching, to include recommended books and bridge skeds etc... Sorry cant help much...

I have a Cape Dory 30 MK II just north of you in Hartge Yacht Harbor, slip #7, SeaEsta. This is her first season in this area. Would enjoy a get together. I am out on the boat every weekend I get clearance from the Commodore. We live down in Northern Virginia.
