The Cape Dory Board

I just bought a Walker Bay 10 for $1,000. I bought it because of the classic lines and it is maintenance free. I only use it to go from my dock to the mooring 60 feet away. I do not like the design of the floor plate which is supposed to keep your feet dry but I find it hampers your ability to bail ...

I am curious what the consensus is for whether or not I install a boom vang on my Typhoon Daysailer. Any feedback, both positive and negativek, would be appreciated.

I just finished the London Goes to Sea by Peter Baumgartner. I was captivated by the book and highly recommend it to everyone interested in restoration, cruising, NE waters, etc. Thank you Peter and to this forum for the recommendation.

I think it is fair to offer more positive feedback. My wife ordered a builder's plate for me before Christmas. She didn't really know what I was asking for, but it was on my list and she went through the motions. Undoubtedly, she needed some help. Bristol Bronze came through and on time for xmas.
