I wish I needed another boat, the 28 is terrific. This is a great opportunity for an electric conversion.

I would not trust the hour meter, does 800 hours sound reasonable for 34 seasons?

Looks great. I never liked the way that Cape Dory built that area, hard to clean, even harder to varnish.
What is going to go into those inaccessible areas that can never be repainted, I am picturing little birds nests or perhaps, as we have here in the Midwest, wasps.

I am amazed that you could accomplish that with one arm (I am sure that there is a story there). I hope you are soon back to two healthy arms, I always look forward to your project photos, such inspiration.

What a gorgeous boat -- 93 years old. I wonder how many of ". . . the ubiquitous white mega yachts which has 100 times the comfort and amenities but 1/10 the character or class. . . ." will be around at 93?

It is a great book. I have never had to do anything but some very minor repairs, but this book is a wealth of knowledge, it enabled me to confidently repair a mainsail and to modify another. I am sure there are other books out there. Sailrite might also be of some help.

We haven't heard from Sea Hunt Video in awhile, but he would be a great source, he hunted almost all of the East and Gulf coasts for his 25D. I bet he knows of several that might be available, and several that would be passed by.

Is that thru hull cocked because of being tightened down? Does it fit flush before clamping it down? This is your only chance to get it right before it goes back in the water, take a step back and think about this one overnight.
