Re: need advice or confort
The rule for getting the best price for anything is to expose it to as many people as you possibly can. Ebay is that place. I agree with Seahunt to keep bumping your ad here on this board, as anyone "in the know" specifically looking for a Cape Dory Typhoon Weekender should be looking here...

Re: need advice or confort
I would second the notion on advertising to a much greater area. Your Ty is absolutely gorgeous, reflecting a lot of work and care. I collect British sports cars, and think nothing of buying cars from the opposite coast or Canada. You probably won't get what it's worth selling locally, but may be su...

Re: CD Typhoon Boat Covers
It's really not rocket surgery. I just got a local upholstery shop to come pay a visit to the Typhoon while she was on the trailer and in just a few days time they had made a sunbrella boom tent for me that keeps the debris out and protects the brightwork when she's on the hard, and keeps the rain o...

Re: Teak Oil Application
Tom Fabula, owner of Signature Finish (HoneyTeak) will tell you it's not problem putting down the teak oil first. Overall, I've had great luck with the product, but did have a huge problem with it putting it on Andaroba after a stain that he didn't predict. If you've got a good piece of wood to samp...

Congrats
Congrats on getting a Seagull for you Typhoon! I bid on about a dozen of them before giving up. A Seagull is just what a Typhoon needs, if it needs a motor. I've found myself becalmed only once in the West Indies, so decided I didn't need one. Why do you have to pay duty on anything? In Nevis, if yo...

Introduction
Hey guys - it's been a while since I've posted, as hurricane season just ended down in Nevis, and we're just starting to get our boats wet. But I want to make an introduction for a coupla new members on the board. The guy masquerading as hwh888 is really Harry, my best sailing buddy who has helped m...

Genoa
Duncan - What I think I'm going to do (of course based upon searches of the archives of this board and the advice contained therein) is send the genoa to FX Sails and have them sew foam in the luff for a CDI FF1 roller reefing system, and sew in UV fabric on the luff and the leach while they are at ...
