I am looking to repower my CD 28 Fly Bridge from a 360 Chrysler to a Yanmar diesel. I have spoke with several yards that do repowering and some are recommending the 240 HP (4 Cyl) others are recommending the 315 HP (6 Cyl). removing CD 28 Fly bridge for transport

Mark, I am looking repower the boat and need to remove the bridge to move the boat (blown motor). I saw in the owners manual that there are threaded plates under the roof (above the liner) that the screws that secure the bridge screw into. What keeps them from falling out? Thanks for the reply. Thank you for offering the "A" frames & trolly setup. Still undecided, but as the price of gasoline goes up daily I am leaning toward a Yanmar diesel (LH series). If you should need any parts for your Chrysler 360, let me know. Where are you located?

Repowering a 28 CD Fly Bridge (360 Chrysler)

I am looking to repower my 28 CD Fly Bridge. I presently have a dead 360 Chrysler (275 HP) 1988 vintage engine. I started pricing diesels, but at $30K+, I may stick with gas.
