The Cape Dory 14 was designed to meet the need for outstanding rowing and sailing dinghies. The sailing model, with the modified gunter sail rig, has proven itself a very able and lively performer. The expert sailor as well as the novice will find it challenging, fast and well balanced. The CD14 can be righted single-handed and has 600 lbs reserve flotation. She is a fine inexpensive sailer for clubs and camp use and ideal for frostbiting.

The CD14 is beautifully constructed -- solid fiberglass hull (mat, roving and cloth laminate) for ultimate strength, seamless, leakproof and of minimum maintenance. Solid mahogany gunwales and seats finished to a high natural lustre provide lasting beauty. All hardware and fittings are marine bronze, stainless steel or chrome plated brass. She has a safe nonskid interior.
