There was a discussion on outboards just recently. Check the posts from the last two months. Unfortunately, this message board can't help you with your bigger problems of spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Reading your message was painful.

Two years ago, when I still owned a CD25, I replaced an old outboard
with a 6HP Johnson. It was the largest o/b that I could get to fit
into the well (without use of a chain saw). Note also that for
non-planing boats the 6HP is the same as the 8HP.

I could unbolt the control-handle before puting in the engine
and then reconnect it with the handle poking through the
'doorway' under the traveller.

It was *wonderful* to have a well behaved new motor!

Quite right. Last time I looked, ya din't need no Ph.D. in English to own a Cape Dory. We ain't intersted in Strunk and White, just Alberg and Vavolotis. So their. ;-)

I have a friend that has a 1950 Chris Craft 5-1/2 hp outboard motor that he bought new, he has the manual and would like to know what it is worth. He has someone that wants to buy it and wants to get a fair price.

He has he original manual that came with it. I believe it runs
