Mike, right here on the CCDOA site under the "About Cape Dory Boats" section is a downloadable manual for a CD25D, about the closest I have found for a manual for a CD25. If you find a true manual for a CD25, please pass the info on to me.

Congratulations. The downloadable manual link found at the Cape Dory Association site John mentions includes info on the CD-25 as well.

I didn't read the manual, but the table of contents carefully avoids mentioning the 25 for some reason. The 25D is included, but not the 25. How curious.

Mike,
Congratulations on getting a wonderful boat. We purchased aja in March and absolutely love her! I can't see myself in any other boat - well, a Cape Dory 45' would be ok too. We have made several posts for a copy of a CD25 manual to no avail. If you get lucky, please let all of us know. I'd be glad to scan and post a PDF copy online for sharing.

Happy sailing,

The reason for this is that I have never run across a manual for the CD-25. If anybody has a copy they can send me I would be glad to include it on my website. BTW, I have tried contacting Catherine by e-mail to please change the link on the "About Cape Dory Boats" page to eliminate the reference to CD-25's but so far have not been able to reach her. Catherine?

Its in two parts about 2.5 meg each? Some one else photocopied theirs and sent it to me a couple of years ago and I scanned it in. I'd be happy to send it to whomever sends me their e-mail.

I recently bought a 1978 CD25 #607 which I have restored and enjoy sailing out of Hillsboro Inlet Fl. In the accumulation of 20 years of junk I took off the boat, I found what I believe is the original Cape Dory Manual that came with the boat. The manual covers various size boats from the Typhoon to the CD30 including the CD25. There are 34 pages of information and diagrams all bound in a blue soft cover with the CD logo. I would bet this is all the manual there is covering the CD25?
I am electronically challenged and can only envy those who can send stuff over the internet. If this is of interest, let me know.
Good sailing Ron Brassord Lighthouse Pt Fl.

Ed,

It looks as if there are a couple of manuals or images out there. We will all appreciate your posting it.

you asked me to remove it (from the "<a href="http://www.toolworks.com/capedory/ccdol ... nks">Where to Look</a>" page) and I responded via e-mail twice! Musta been May or June. It aint there. You may need to click on your browser's Reload or Refresh button to see the change.

Yeah, your right. Refreshing did the trick. Sorry about that. For some reason I didn't get your e-mail replies. Per usual, you're on the ball and doing a first rate job of keeping this site running smoothly. Thanks, Cathy.
