The 'Pirate Captain Commanding' raffle tickets and CDSOA Gif

Those of you who have been following the previous posts know that Dave Stump suffered a stroke and members of this board have been exchanging ideas of how we can lift Dave's spirits and speed his recovery. Well a consensus has decided that a half hull model, with sail foils, is the best option. The Scale Model Company has extended an offer to assist New England CDSOA and expedite the production of a CD30 half hull and get it shipped to us within the next 10 days. They have also provided an unsolicited offer to reduce the cost of the half hull model from the standard list of $450 to a very generous price of $260. This includes a custom paintjob to match Dave’s paint pallet, and sail number.

Roger at Bristol Bronze has agreed to provide a duplicate builders plate, also at a reduced cost, for Dave’s CD30 that we will then mount on the half hull.

To raise the money to pay for the gift a 50 / 50 Raffle will be conducted with the winning ticket drawing held at the CDSOA dinner in Onset. Tickets will be available from Leo MacDonald and Michael Heintz at the upcoming events leading up to Onset, or available to Dave’s "on-line friends” who can not make the events from Chris Reinke

Ticket prices are $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00. To purchase tickets on-line please send Chris Reinke an e-mail at chris.reinke@sac.com indicating the following:

Chris will send an e-mail confirming receipt of your payment and transfer the information from your e-mail request to the ticket stubs. He will then forward the competed tickets to Leo and Michael at the site of the Onset rendezvous for the drawing. The winner will share 50% of the total money collected. The remaining 50% will cover the cost of Dave’s gift. Any remaining funds will be turned over to Michael Heintz, New England Fleet Captain to assist Dave with any future needs.
