I am just getting into my newly acquired CD25 and find that I need to replace my entire running rigging--every line. Does anyone have the specifics on size, length etc, or know where it might be posted? I would like to do the whole project as a package.
I would really like to correspond with anyone who has done a refit on a 25. My immediate plans are to install roller furling, new sails, jiffy reefing, lazy jacks, boom vang, bimini, cushions, and anything else to get the boat up to shape. And, I'd like to get it all done tomorrow, but know better.
Best regards RON B

Hi Ron
We have done all that you ask about on our 1975 CD25. If you have specific questions, I will try to answer.

Re: CD 25 Running rigging
Ron, I don't know where you are located, but I replaced about half of my running rigging and I highly recommend Hall Spars in Bristol, RI (they also have a web site). They charged me about half what West Marine wanted for the exact same materials and they were really helpful and friendly.

Re: CD 25 Running rigging
I did all of that on my boat except the bimini. I also installed the Tides marine Strong sail track system to ease raising the main, speed dropping the main and reefing is simplified as there is no gate. I am also very happy with the boom kicker I installed as well.
I suggest you find a good rigger and sail maker that will provide what you are looking for.
Before proceeding I do have to tell you that you will never get the money back when you sell her so be sure and plan on keeping her long enough to make the investment work.
