Stress cracks around the front hatch

Hi,
Could somebody can explain me, how to repair smalls stress cracks around the front hatch of my Alberg 22. I was thinking of drill a hole of 4 inch of diameter just in the corner of the hatch and redo the fiberglass but i'm not sure at all if it's a good idea.

Compared to a CD the gelcoat of a Alberg is so thin, i just sand a bit and i touch the fiberglass. Do you think i must apply some gelcoat or i can put the primer and the paint directly?
