good morning Zeida .. i just removed a shakespeare unit from atop the mast it really was not that much better than the rabbit ears... and besides it really looked awfull !! plus the windage factor... i hooked a wire to a bolt coming through the deck from a stanchion base and my reception was greatly improved...lrs :Serenus:

Serenus: Thanks for your input. Will try connecting a wire like you said to one of the through-bolts from a chain plate. Don't know if this will do anything, but will try it, easy enough. Was your old Shakespeare one of those round ones up on the mast top? In my marina, several boats have them and like the results. I'll wait and see how the wire does. Many thanks,
