CD25 Rudder Warning

Post by Jim Myers »

Well the good news is I caught the problem before it happened. I noticed last fall that my Stainless rudder stock was exposed as the fiberglass had worn away from the leading edge of my rudder. Today I had it checked and by pulling aft on the top trailing edge of the rudder I can separate the rudder from the stock! I am having this repaired and will update this post as it is done. SO........Check your rudders now while on the hard!

Same problem I had on my Typhoon. Check with Roger at BristolBronze.com. He has a inexpensive plan for repair.

Eric our CD25 is starting to show the stainless rudder post. How hard did you have to pull to get the rudder to separate? Are your doing the repair or is the yard? Lets us know how you make out.
