CD25 Rendezvous Date

Post by Jon »

Greetings All,

As many of you know, there shall be, without fee, an interdenominational CD25 Rendezvous in the coastal hamlet of Scituate MA this summer. No yacht club or group afiliation is required, and moorings are available to all.

We are trying to establish the date for this event, and your input is needed. Many favor the long days centered around the summer solstice, June 21. These days offer working daylight 'till nearly 9pm, allowing sailors to put many miles under the keel in one day. We'd like to set a date well in advance, so people can plan and make arrangements.

My question to you is this: What dates work best for you? Help us decide what date would accomodate the greatest number of sailors who might attend. Again, all are invited and encouraged to join in.

Let me hear from you!

Jon,

For myself any weekend sounds great. It should be a good sail down coming from Gloucester except that the wind will probably be right over the nose. Even still it's better to be sailing then working anyday! Just post the final date that you think is going to work out the best and we'll see you down there.

The dates look fine to me. I'll be coming up from Noank figuring a 2-2.5 day sail. Any other 25's from this part of the world (Eastern LI
Sound, Narragansett Bay) care to sail up as a mini-fleet.

I will be sailing from either Narragansett Bay or Watch Hill. We can hook up in Newport or Cuttyhunk. I am hopeful there will be others as well!

Sounds Great!

Perhaps we could sail down as a group with the other Cape Ann locals.

the worst possible date!

I was looking forward to this one, even though I'd be cheating with a CD 28. But the Scituate meet is the same week as the Northeast AIDSRide, and I'll be peddling from New York to Boston.

Scituate's a great place... we get there a couple of times a season. I'll watch closely in case the meetnig date gets moved back a week or so.
