Sailing to Maine every summer for the past 15 years, I have picked up my share of Lobster buoys and toggles, many submerged, most recently placing the safety of the boat and crew at risk. I have decided it is time for a Spur or cage. Has anyone had any experience with a cage? No one likes to to cut lines.

Re: Prop Cage for a CD 36
Jack,
I haven't sailed to Maine as many times as you have but with the Cape Dory prop in the aperture arrangement I've never had a problem with Lobster Pots, etc. What model CD do you have?
Mike Thorpe
