My local sailmaker informed me that using a 100%jib on the inboard tracks of my CD25D "Water Music" would be impossible with the forward lowers getting in the way. Does anyone use a 100-110% jib routinely and is this a problem? Using the genoa tracks is an option also.
I am trying to depower the boat in my typically windy area (North Central Texas). Currently I use a 135% genoa with reefed main over 15 knots, but at 20 knots, I feel that I dont need as much headsail and the 135 doesnt reef efficiently. My real question is-Is the 100% a good choice for a CD25D in a fairly windy area.

A 100% jib is a good thing to have aboard any sail boat. I sheet my working jib by leading the sheets outboard of the forward lower shroud and inboard of the upper shroud and then to the jib track on the side decks. Works fine for me here in Oklahoma.
