Cape Dory 22 vs Alberg 22

can somebody tell me if the hull of a CD 22 compare to Alberg 22 or if there are different boat. For what i know...The Alberg was built in Canada and CD in US with the same mold but i doubt.

I try to find a CD 22 near the Lake Champlain (Vermont), i live near Montreal and i sail on the beautifull Lake Champlain. Like i said i'm searching for a CD22 but i only find a Alberg 22 for now.

i almost bought a cd22 18 years ago, but $17,000.00 was more than i had to spend back then. there have been two alberg 22's in our marina, one has been there for two years now and i get to look directly at it when sitting in my typhoon tied to the slip. the hulls look very much the same and if there are differences they are very slight. the sheer lines appear identical. however, it is the deck, cabin and interior that differ somewhat. if you are planning on using an outboard, i like the alberg 22 because it has a well for the outboard in the lazarette. this leaves the boat with very clean lines and a motor, while the cd22 needs a motor bracket hanging off the transom. now if you have the money to spend on a cd22d with the inboard diesel, then you have the best of both worlds.
